Just For Kids

& Kay's Closet

Updated April 10th!

Open for 1 HUGE weekend May 1, 2 & 3!

Southland Shopping Center (corner of 7th St and Margaret Avenue).

Receiving will be Apr. 23 - 26.

Consignors may start entering your items for the Spring Sale!

Check out the When/Where page!

Deals so good they only come around twice a year!

Attention -- New Information

  •  Due to the thousands of items brought in during the few days of Receiving, even small delays can cause a backup.  Therefore, if myself or one of the volunteers spends more that 10 minutes ‘fixing’ your items, a Service Charge of $15 will be deducted from your check at the end of the sale.  Please remember to have your items prepared according to directions on the website.  This will make your time at Receiving go much faster!  Your items should have been sorted by sex and by size before entering them into the database.  If you did not do that, wait until you come to Receiving.  After applying your labels, you will need to sort them by sex and by size before we will put them out onto the sales floor.  Check your shoes!  They should be like-new. No scuffs!  Be sure your ID # is on a piece of masking tape on the bottom of each one.  We want every consignors experience with Just For Kids to be a positive one.  It is not fair to the consignor that is properly prepared to be waiting behind someone who isn’t.  So it is very important that you be prepared to help keep the lines down.  Please refer to the “Preparation of Items” page and the FAQ page.  Email with any questions that are not covered there.  Melissa justforkids@hughes.net

  • We are very concerned about the safety of children.  In regards to the new lead laws -The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a press release stating definitively that: "The new law requires that domestic manufacturers and importers certify that children's products made after February 10 meet all the new safety standards and the lead ban. Sellers of used children's products, such as thrift stores and consignment stores, are not required to certify that those products meet the new lead limits, phthalates standard or new toy standards."  This law is aimed at the original manufacturer and/or importer of the goods. Great news for all of us!  It is the consignor’s responsibility to check for any recalls prior to bringing your items in.  Please see the following websites for information regarding the safety of products and possible recalls.
